My first stop was Sephora! I'm not the one for hustle and bustle so I decided to shop online. With the discounts codes I had, I was able to get loads of freebies. I purchased two palettes on sale from Stila and Smashbox. My sister-in-law purchased a few pieces of makeup as well so the total amounted to $60 or so. Ergo, we had free shipping.

Even better, I won a $55 CSN giveaway at Mimi's page. I entered the contest not expecting to win but surprisingly, I won! It was timely since my husband's birthday was on the 23rd. He has been wanting a coffee maker for himself and that's precisely what I got him. Being that the Cuisinart coffee maker was originally $74.95but I got it for a reduced price of $59.95. I only had to add $4.95 to the total amount. Compared to the $30 generic one, I chose a trusted brand.
The message that made my day:
hi toni! just wanted to let you know that you won my giveaway! i also sent you an email with the details. congratulations! :D <3, mimi

Delivery was delayed. Original delivery date: 11/29/10
Expected on 12/02/10
For Black Friday, my first stop was Target. To my surprise, there wasn't a crowd. No hustle and bustle whatsoever. I spent approximately $70 at my trip to the store.
Things I got:
- 2 fleece pillows for $7.00
- 1 zebra printed plush blanket for $19.99
- cotton head wrap
- 2 Mossimo women's v-neck tops
- 1 white women's turtleneck
- 1 men's thermal sweater for $5.00
- 2 sets of gloves
The plush blanket is amazing! I say that it's mine but Jordan never fails to correct me by saying, "OURS". He loves that blanket more than I do. The pillows are a great bargain! I should have gotten another one. They're so comfortable that I fell asleep soon after resting my head on the pillow.

Our trip to Costco was a quick one. We were one of the first ones there so my sister-in-law and I got free cookbooks. I have yet to try the recipes. I'll be sure to share them with you!
I also went to Tilly's along Ventura. There weren't so much people in the store but the sale was amazing. I didn't want to overspend so I only got two things which cost me approximately $8.00 for both hair pieces.
For Cyber Monday, the hubby and I were looking for rice cookers and we found one on sale for $14.00. It's a definite steal so we most definitely added it to our cart.

That concludes our November shopping spree. I can't wait for Christmas sales! For right now, we have to be frugal for a couple of weeks. I hope everyone had a sweet November!
Before I forget! November was a birthday month for my hubby. We prepared a surprise dinner for him at Magnolia in Pasadena. It was such an intimate night for family.
Good gracious! You did some serious shopping :D As we emerge to be more mature we seem to seriously enjoy to shop for kitchen and interior items, huh? ;) But than I never thought I would enjoy shopping for clothes back in the day when I rather wanted to hit toys'r'us :D
ReplyDeleteGreat haul, Toni!

I didn't feel as guilty since they were things for the house that my husband and I can share. I need kitchen items rather badly so when I saw the opportunity, I seized it. :)) We all prioritized our toys over clothes at some point!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about shopping online, I hate going in the shops as people are just rude and stupid ! They fight all the time over here :P
ReplyDeleteOh I love the makeup palettes the first one has the most amazing colours I love it xxxx
I still need to do more Christmas shopping it's so bad :/
@Vintage and Cake It bugs me to shop in malls since crowds easily get me agitated. Shopping online is so much more convenient. :) Believe me, they fight here too!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I like the color combinations as well. I haven't even started with Christmas shopping! :))
your blog is lovely ♥

Congrats on winning a giveaway, I just won my first one as well recently and boy, I was and still excited! Heheh! Your purchases are indeed very interesting and useful, unlike mine! I'm thinking of returning some, I got 2 pair of the same Tory Burch's flats, I'm helpless with spending, eek! Got to learn from you! (:
ReplyDeleteSanny's Head to Heart
Wow sounds like you got some good deals. Happy Birthday to the Hubby!!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday to your hubby!
ReplyDeleteAnd I seriously cannot shop for anything during the holiday season. It stresses me out so bad. I would *rather* shop online. Saves me from premature gray hair. Lol.
Aww, seems like you had alot of fun. It's pretty funny to hear about you taking your hubby's credit card cuz in my head, I imagined that you took it without him knowing and then he read up here on your blog about all the stuff you bought. :D But nice work, I loved reading bout all the things you got, I like hearing people get new stuff!
ReplyDeleteThe anser to the Stila palette is answered-from a previous post I commented.
ReplyDelete:-)
@Maddy Thank you! <3
ReplyDelete@Sanny You got those flats? They're too pricey for me. I have to put in some money for my immigration costs so I can't overspend. lol. I'm glad you had fun and nooo! Don't return anything! lol.
@Susie Thank you! He had so much fun that night!
@Christina Thanks so much! I'll let him know! I don't like crowds but this year wasn't so bad. I shopped online as well and the only downside is the delivery time! Say no to gray hair! :))
@Mike We did have a blast and he trusts me with the credit card since I'm Ms.Frugal anyway. lol. It would've been funny if he caught me that way. That would make an interesting day. I don't know how he'd react to it. :)) AWW! Thanks, Mike! :)
