I found an inspirational piece that I now hang above my oven. I believe it's a saying that us women should live by. Being an avid admirer of the 50's, I knew I had to have it.
"I can only please one person per day. Today, I choose me."
The oil dispenser only cost me $0.99 at the 99 Cent Store!
The salt and pepper shakers were $1.30 from Ralphs!
As much as I'd like to be frugal, I don't purchase all my groceries at the 99 Cent Store. I only get toilet paper, kitchen towels, freezer bags, aluminum foil, paper plates, plastic cups and oil dispensers from there. Food, detergent and other items, I go to Ralphs, Alberstons or Fresh&Easy. Whenever my husband wants seafood, we go to a nearby Filipino store. It's either Arko or Seafood City for us.
This is a table that I fell in love with at Living Spaces and just HAD to buy!
"Love Kong Kumain" basically translates as "I love to eat".
This was a gift from my eldest sister. Cute, huh?
Do you guys have any move-in stories to share? I'll be sharing a review with you this weekend so watch out for that! I'll catch up with you all soon, I promise! Thanks to the loyal followers!
I love the picture!

When we moved in to our current house about four years ago, I was SOOO excited to unpack and everything that even though half my room furniture wasn't there yet, I started decorating my room. =))
ReplyDeleteI'm studying to be an Interior Designer so moving and unpacking are the things I live for. LOL
Nice to see you back hun, glad the move went well! 99 cents for that oil despenser, it looks really professional! lol x
ReplyDeleteWow, what a coincidence. We just moved in to our newly finished house! There's still so many things to buy, since we have to start from scratch. (our house was burned to the ground last year and saved nothing from the fire) I'm currently on the hunt for a Living room set.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a heater like that since I lived in Cali.lol. Congrats on the new place =)
ReplyDeleteI have a move-in story to share. The night before we got the keys to our house someone broke in and stole our new stove, microwave and all the lights from one of our bathrooms. They also tried stealing the dryer but gave up.lol Pretty sad but hey, they could have done more damage.
that table is really cute!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the move! New places are always so exciting! :) I wish I'd be able to move to California soon, depending on what USCIS decides. We're not doing the K1 anymore, but have gotten married and will submit a CR-1 petition this week. We were getting too many delays (RFE's) with the K1. Hopefully, there won't be RFE's this time!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I dropped by to tell you that you're one of those I nominated for the Versatile Blogger award: http://beatofmydrum.com/?p=4184. Hope you'll accept it. I think you deserve it!
